6A3 In the name of Allah, the most gracious and merciful. Believers, fulfill yourMP contracts. Beasts of the herds are allowed for youMP, except as is recited to youMP. Hunting is not allowed while youMP are consecrated. Allah judges as he wants.
0
2
*** Believers, do not allow the violation of Allah’s ordinances, the sacred month, offerings, garlanded ones, or those who seek grace and pleasure from their Lord in the sacred sanctuary. When youMP are no longer consecrated, then youMP may hunt. Do not let the hatred of people who barred youMP from the sacred sanctuary make youMP do wrong by aggresion. CooperateMP in righteousness and godliness. Do not cooperateMP in guilt and enmity. FearMP Allah. Allah is severe in punishment.
0
3
*** These are forbidden to youMP: dead animals, blood, pork, animals not offered to Allah, strangled, clubbed to death, fallen to their death, gored, or eaten by wild beasts, except if you slaughter it, and those sacrificed to idols. If youMP divine using headless arrows, that is unbelief. Today, the disbelievers will be disappointed by yourMP religion, so do not fear them, but fearMP me. Today I have completed yourMP religion for youMP, and finished giving youMP my blessings and am pleased with submission as yourMP religion. Allah is forgiving and merciful to him who is compelled by hunger, not desiring to be guilty.
0
4
*** They ask youMS what is allowed for them. SayMS, “YouMP may have good things, and what youMP have taught predators to hunt. YouMP teach them as Allah has taught youMP. EatMP of what theyFP catch for you, mentionMP Allah’s name over it, and fear MPGod.” Allah is swift in reckoning.
0
5
*** Today, good things are allowed. In addition, the food of those who were given the book is allowed for youMP, and yourMP food is allowed for them. Allowed are chaste, believing women, and the chaste women of those given the book before youMP if youMP give themFP their bride price, are chasteMP, do not fornicateMP, and do not takeMP mistresses. The works of a disbeliever in the faith will be futile, and in the hereafter, he will be be lost.
0
6
Believers, when youMP stand for prayers, washMP yourMP faces and yourMP hands up to the elbows, and wipe yourMP heads and wash yourMP feet up to the ankles. If youMP are unclean, purify yourselvesMP. If youMP are sick or on a journey, or one of youMP has come from the toilet, or if youMP have had sex with women, and youMP do not find water, then wash with pure sand, and wipe your faces and hands with it. Allah does not want to make it difficult for youMP, but Allah wants to purify youMP and complete his blessings on youMP so that youMP may give thanks.
0
7
*** Remember Allah’s blessings to youMP and his covenant which he made with youMP when youMP said, “We hear and obey.” Fear Allah! Allah knows what is in the heart.
0
8
*** Believers, be upright before Allah, just witnesses, and do not let your hatred of people make youMP do wrong by being unjust. BeMP just. It is nearer to godliness. FearMP Allah. Allah is aware of yourMP deeds.
0
9
Allah has promised believers who do righteous deeds forgiveness and a great reward.
0
10
Those who disbelieve and reject our signs are going to the blazing fire.
0
11
Believers, rememberMP Allah’s blessings to youMP, when people plotted to stretch out their hands toward youMP and he kept their hands from youMP. FearMP Allah. Let the believers trustMP in Allah.

6A4 *** Allah made a covenant with the people of Israel and we sent twelve leaders from them. Allah said, “I am with youMP. If youMP perform the prayers, pay the poor-tax, believe in my messengers, assist them, and give a good loan to Allah, I will expiate yourMP bad deeds and make youMP enter heavenly gardens with flowing rivers underneath. He among youMP who disbelieves after that has gone astray from the straight path.
0
13
*** Because they broke their covenant, we damned them and hardened their hearts. They twist words from their context, and have forgotten some of what they were reminded of. YouMS will constantly discover new treacheries from most of them. PardonMS and forgiveMS them, for Allah loves the generous.
0
14
We made a covenant with those who said, “We are Christians.” Then they forgot some of what they were reminded of, so we brought about enmity and hatred among them until the day of resurrection. Allah will proclaim to them what they did.
0
15
People of the book, our messenger has come to youMP to clarify to youMP much that youMP were hiding from the book, and to pardon youMP much. Light and a clear book came to youMP from Allah.
0
16
With it, Allah guides whoever follows his pleasure on paths of peace and brings them out from darkness to light by his permission. He guides them to a straight path.
0
17
*** Those who said that Allah is the Messiah, son of Mariam have truly covered [the truth]. SayMS, “Who can do anything against Allah, if he wanted to destroy the Messiah, son of Mariam, his mother, and everyone on the earth? The kingdom of the heavens, the earth, and what is between themD is Allah's. He creates whatever he wills. Allah can do anything.”
0
18
The Jews and the Christians said, “We are Allah’s children and his beloved ones.” SayMS, “Why will he torment youMP for yourMP sins?” Rather youMP are humans created by Allah. He forgives whom he wills and torments whom he wills. Allah has the kingdom of the heavens, the earth and what is between them. He is [man’s] destiny.
0
19
People of the book, our messenger has come clarifying to youMP after a period of not having messengers [lest] youMP say, “No bearer of good news or warner has come to us.” One who bears good news and warns has come to youMP. Allah can do anything.
0
20
*** When Musa told his people, “My people, rememberMP Allah’s blessings to youMP, since he sent prophets to youMP and gave youMP kings and gave youMP what no one in the universe had ever been given before.
0
21
My people, enterMP the holy land which Allah has decreed for youMP, and do not turnMP back, or youMP will be overturned and lost.
0
22
They said, “Musa, there are strong people in it, and we will not enter it until they leave it. If they leave it, we will enter.
0
23
Two men whomD Allah blessed among those who feared said, “EnterMP the gate against them. When youMP enter it, youMP will be victorious. TrustMP in Allah, if youMP are believers.”
0
24
They said, “Musa, we will never enter it as long as they are in it. YouMS and yourMS Lord go and fight. We will sit here."
0
25
He said, “My Lord, I cannot control anyone except myself and my brother. Make a distinction between us and unbelieving people.”
0
26
He said, “So it is forbidden for them for forty years. They will wander on the earth. Do not be sad for unbelieving people.”
0
27
6B1 ReadMS to them the story of the two sons of Adam truly. TheyD offered offerings, and it was accepted from one of themD and not from the other, who said, “I will surely murder youMS.” He answered, “Allah truly accepts from the  godfearers.
0
28
Even if youMS stretch forth yourMS hand to murder me, I will not stretch forth my hand toward youMS to murder youMS. I fear Allah, the Lord of the universe.
0
29
I want youMS to bring my guilt and yourMS guilt and be destined for hellfire. That is the punishment of the wicked.”
0
30
Yet his soul prompted him to murder his brother, so he murdered him and was lost.
0
31
So Allah sent a raven, searching in the ground, to show him how to conceal the shame of his brother. He said, “Woe is me. Am I unable to be like this raven, and conceal the shame of my brother? ” And he became remorseful.
0
32
Therefore, we decreed for the people of Israel: If anyone murders a soul, except in vengeance for another soul or destruction on earth, it is as if he murdered all of mankind. Whoever gives life to a soul is as if he gave life to all mankind. Our messengers came to them with miracles, and then after that, many of them were wasteful in the land.
0
33
The penalty of those who make war against Allah and his messenger and try to cause destruction on the earth is to be slaughtered, crucified, have their hands and feet on opposite sides amputated, or be banished from the land. Thus they will have shame on the earth and great torment in the hereafter,
0
34
except those who repent before youMP conquer them. KnowMP that Allah is forgiving and merciful.
0
35
Believers, fear Allah, seek the way to him, and fight in his path, that youMP may prosper.
0
36
Truly if the disbelievers had everything on earth twice over as a ransom for them from the torment of the day of resurrection, it would not be accepted from them. They will have painful torment.
0
37
They will want to leave hellfire, but they will not leave it. They will have permanent torment.
0
38
As for the male and female thief, cut off their hands as the punishment theyD deserve, as an exemplary punishment from Allah. Allah is strong and wise.
0
39
Allah will accept the repentance of a wicked person who repents and makes amends. Allah is forgiving and merciful.
0
40
Do youMS not know that the kingdom of the heavens and the earth is Allah's? He torments whom he wills and forgives whom he wills. Allah can do anything.
0
41
6B2 Messenger, do not be sadMS about those who hasten to disbelief, whether among those who said with their mouths, “We have believed,” when their hearts have not believed, or among the Jews, who listen to lies, hearken to other people who have not come to youMS, and twist words out of their context. They say, “If youMP have been given this, take it, and if youMP have not been given it, beware.” If Allah wants to tempt someone, youMS will not be able to do anything for him against Allah. Those whose hearts Allah does not want to purify will have shame in this world and great torment in the hereafter.
0
42
They hearken to lies and take illicit gain, so if they come to youMS, judge among them or turn away from them. If youMS turn away from them, they will not harm youMS at all. If youMS judge, judge among them justly, Allah loves those who act justly.
0
43
And how can they make youMS their judge, when they have the Tawrah, which contains Allah’s judgment? Then they turn away after that! They are not believers.
0
44
We revealed the Tawrah, in which is guidance and light. The prophets who submitted, the rabbis, and the priests judge the Jews according to the portion of Allah’s book with which they have been entrusted. They were witnesses of it. So do not fearMP people, but fear me, and do not sell my verses for a small price. Whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed are disbelievers.
0
45
And we wrote for them in itFS, ‘A life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear, a tooth for a tooth, and punishment for wounds, so if someone forgoes it, it will be expiation for him. Those who do not judge by what Allah has revealed are wicked.
0
46
We made Isa son of Mariam follow in their footsteps, confirming the Tawrah in his possession, and we gave him the Injil, in which is guidance and light, confirming the Tawrah in his possession, as guidance and an admonition to the godly.
0
47
So let the people of the Injil judge by what Allah has revealed in it. Whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed are unbelievers.
0
48
And we revealed the book to youMS with truth, confirming what he had of the book before it and protecting it, so judge among them according to what Allah has revealed, and do not follow their desires concerning the truth that has come to youMS. We made a law and a program for each one of youMP. If Allah had willed, he would have made youMP one nation, but he wanted to test youMP regarding what he gave youMP. So compete in goodness. YouMP will all return toward Allah, and he will proclaim to youMP yourMP differences.
0
49
JudgeMS between them based on what Allah has revealed and do not followMS their desires. BewareMS of them, lest they entice youMS away from some of what Allah has revealed to youMS. If they turn away, knowMS that Allah wants to afflict them for some of their sins. Many people are unbelievers.
0
50
Do they want their judgment based on ignorance? Who is better than Allah in judging people who are certain?
0
51
6B3 Believers, do not take Jews and Christians as protectors. They protect each other. Those of youMP who take them as protectors become part of them. Allah does not guide wicked people.
0
52
YouMS see those with sick hearts hastening to say to them, “We fear that a calamity will afflict us. Allah may bring victory or a commandment from him, so they will regret what they hid in their souls.
0
53
The believers say, “Are those the ones who swore by Allah with binding oaths that they are with youMP?” Their works will be in vain, and they will be lost.
0
54
Believers, if you turn back from your religion, Allah will bring people whom he loves and who love him, who are humble toward believers and strong against disbelievers, who struggle in Allah’s path and do not fear anyone’s blame. That is Allah’s grace, which he gives to those he wills. Allah is omnipresent and all-knowing.
0
55
Allah, his messenger, and the believers who perform prayers and pay the poor-tax, kneeling down are yourMP protectors.
0
56
As for those who turn to  Allah and his messenger and the believers, Allah’s party are the victors.
0
57
Believers, do not take as protectors those who make fun of yourMP religion and mock it, whether of those given the book before youMP or disbelievers. FearMP Allah if youMP are believers.
0
58
If youMP call to prayer, they make fun of it and mock it. That is because they are people who do not comprehend.
0
59
SayMS, people of the book, will youMP take revenge on us because we believe in Allah, what was revealed to us, and what was revealed beforehand,  whereas most of youMP are unbelievers?
0
60
*** SayMS, “Shall I proclaim to youMP the most evil reward from Allah? Allah has damned them, is angry with them, and made them monkeys and pigs. They worshiped false gods. They are in an evil place and have gone astray from the right path.
0
61
*** When they come to youMP, they say, “We believe,” whereas they have entered in disbelief and left with it. Allah knows what they were hiding.
0
62
YouMS see many of them competing in guilt, enmity, and unjust gain. What they did was dreadful.
0
63
Would that the rabbis and priests would forbid them from guilty sayings and unjust gain. What they did was dreadful.
0
64
The Jews said, “Allah’s hand is chained,” but their hands are the ones that are chained, and they are damned because of their saying. His hands are stretched out, donating as he wills. What was revealed to youMS from yourMS Lord will increase many of them in tyranny and disbelief. We cast enmity and hatred among them until the day of resurrection. Every time they kindle a fire for war, Allah extinguishes it. They try to cause destruction on the earth. Allah does not love destroyers.
0
65
If the people of the book had believed and been godly, we would have expiated their bad deeds and caused them to enter into heavenly gardens of delight.
0
66
If they had kept the Tawrah and Injil and what we revealed to them from their Lord, they would have eaten from above them and beneath their feet. Some of them are a nation of good intentions, and many of them do evil.
0
67
6B4 Messenger, deliver what was revealed to youMS from your Lord. If youMS do not do that, youMS have not delivered his message. Allah will protect youMS from the people. Allah does not guide unbelieving people.
0
68
People of the book, youMP have no foundation unless youMP uphold the Tawrah and Injil and what was revealed to youMP by yourMP Lord. What was revealed to youMS will certainly increase many of them in trangression and disbelief. Do not sorrowMS over disbelieving people.
0
69
Truly believers, Jews, Sabeans, and Christians – whoever believes in Allah and in the last day and does righteous deeds shall have no fear, nor will they grieve.
0
70
We have made a covenant with the people of Israel and sent them messengers. Whenever a messenger brought them something they did not like, some of them they called liars, and some of them they murder.
0
71
They thought there would be no temptation, and were blind and deaf. Then Allah accepted their repentance, and many of them were blind and deaf. Allah sees what they do.
0
72
*** Those who said that Allah is the Messiah, son of Mariam have truly covered [the truth]. The Messiah said, “People of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and yoursMP.” If someone adds gods to Allah, Allah will forbid him from the heavenly garden; his abode will be hellfire. The wicked will have no helpers.
0
73
*** Those who say that Allah is the third of three have truly disbelieved. There is no other god besides one god, and if they do not stop what they are saying, he will touch the disbelievers among them with painful torment.
0
74
Will they not repent toward Allah and ask his forgiveness? Allah is forgiving and merciful.
0
75
The Messiah, son of Mariam is only a messenger. The messengers before him died. His mother was righteous. They both ate food. See how we make signs plain to them? Then see how they lie!
0
76
SayMS, “Do youMP worship what cannot harm youMP or help youMP instead of Allah?” Allah hears all and knows all.
0
77
*** SayMS, “People of the book, do not exaggerate in yourMP religion beyond the truth, and do not follow the desires of people who went astray beforehand, and led many astray. They went astray from the straight path.
0
78
*** The disbelievers of the people of Israel were cursed by the tongue of Dawud and Isa son of Mariam for their disobedience and transgressions.
0
79
They would not desist from doing what is forbidden. They did it, and what they did was dreadful.
0
80
YouMS see many of them taking disbelievers as protectors. What they did to themselves was dreadful. Allah is furious with them, and they will be tormented forever.
0
81
If they had believed in Allah, the prophet, and what was revealed to him, they would not have taken them as protectors, but many of them are unbelievers.
0
82
7A1 YouMS will surely find those strongest in enmity toward the believers to be the Jews and the idolaters. YouMS will surely find those closest in love to the believers to be those who say, “We are Christians.” This is because some of them are pastors and monks, and they are not proud.
0
83
When they hear what was revealed to the messenger, youMS see their eyes overflow with tears because of the truth they knew. They say, “Our Lord, we believe. Record us as witnesses.
0
84
Why should we not believe in Allah and the truth that has come to us, and desire that our Lord make us enter along with righteous people.”
0
85
Allah rewarded them for their sayings with heavenly gardens with flowing rivers underneath, where they will be forever. That is the reward of the generous.
0
86
Those who disbelieve and reject our signs are destined for the blazing fire.
0
87
Believers, do not forbidMP the good things Allah has allowed for youMP. Do not transgressMP. Allah does not love transgressors.
0
88
EatMP the allowed and delicious [food] Allah provides youMP, and fear Allah, in whom youMP believe.
0
89
Allah does not punish youMP for vain words in yourMP oaths, but he does punish youMP for oaths that youMP take solemnly. The expiation for such is either feeding ten poor people as youMP would normally feed your own families, clothing them, or freeing a slave. Whoever cannot afford that should fast for three days. That is expiation for yourMP oaths if you swear. Fulfill yourMP oaths. Thus Allah makes his signs clear to youMP, so that youMP may give thanks.
0
90
Believers, truly wine, gambling, idols, and witchcraft are abominable works of Satan, so avoidMP them, so that youMP may prosper.
0
91
Satan wants to cast enmity and hatred among you through wine and gambling, and to block youMP from remembering Allah and performing prayers. Will youMP stop?
0
92
ObeyMP Allah, obeyMP the messenger, and bewareMP. If youMP turn away, know that our messenger must convey the message clearly.
0
93
Believers who do righteous deeds are not to be blamed for what they have eaten if they are godly, believe, and do righteous deeds, then are godly and believe, then are godly and generous. Allah loves the generous.
0
94
Believers, Allah will test youMP with wild animals that youMP hunt with yourMP hands and yourMP spears. Thus Allah will know who fears him in secret. Whoever transgresses after that will have painful torment.
0
95
*** Believers, do not kill wild animals while youMP are consecrated. The punishment for someone among youMP who intentionally kills them is that he shall offer at the Kaaba livestock equivalent to what he killed, as judged by two just men among youMP, or as expiation, he shall feed the poor, or fasting as a ransom for that, so that he might taste the negative consequences of the matter. Allah has pardoned what is past, but Allah will take revenge on those who repeat it. Allah is strong and avenging.
0
96
*** Fishing and eating what youMP catch is allowed for yourMP provision and that of the group of travelers, but hunting is forbidden as long as youMP are consecrated. Fear Allah to whom youMP will be gathered.
0
97
7A2 Allah has established the Kaaba, the sacred sanctuary a means of support for people, along with the sacred month, the offerings, and the garlands so that youMP will know that Allah knows everything in the heavens and the earth. Allah knows everything.
0
98
KnowMP that Allah is severe in punishment and Allah is forgiving and merciful.
0
99
The messenger is only responsible to convey the message. Allah knows what youMP show and what youMP hide.
0
100
SayMS, “The evil and the good are not the same, even if a multitude of evil pleases youMS. YouMP thinkers, fear Allah so that you mayMP prosper.
0
101
Believers, do not ask about things which would be evil to youMP if made apparent. If you ask about them when the Qur’an is revealed, they will be made apparent to youMP. Allah pardons them. Allah is forgiving and gentle.
0
102
People before youMP asked about them, and then became disbelievers because of them.
0
103
Allah has not allowed idolatrous practices related to camels, whether Bahira, Saiba, Wasila, or Hami, but the disbelievers promote lies about Allah. Most of them have no comprehension.
0
104
When they are told, “Come to what Allah has revealed and to the messenger,” they say, “What we found our fathers doing is enough for us.” What if their fathers know nothing, and are not guided?
0
105
Believers, youMP are responsible for yourselvesMP. Those who go astray will not harm youMP if youMP are guided. All of youMP will return to Allah, and he will proclaim to youMP yourMP deeds.
0
106
Believers, if one of youMP approaches death, when making a will let there be two just witnesses from among youMP, or two others from outside yourMP group in case youMP are travelling when death assails youMP. After performing prayers, holdMP themD and if youMP doubt them, have themD swear by Allah, “We will not sell it, even to a relative, and we will not hide Allah’s testimony, or we will be guilty.”
0
107
If it turns out theyD are deservedly guilty, let two others who have a claim against themD take theirD places and swear by Allah, “Our testimony is more true than theirsD, and we have not transgressed, or we would be wicked.
0
108
That way, it is more likely that theyMP will give true testimony or fear that [other] oaths would contradict theirMP oaths. FearMP Allah and listen. Allah does not guide unbelieving people.
0
109
7A3 *** On the day Allah gathers the messengers, he says, “How were youMP answered?” They said, “We do not know. YouMS know what is unseen.”
0
110
*** When Allah said, “Isa son of Mariam, remember my blessings to youMS and yourMS mother: I aided youMS with the Holy Spirit so youMS spoke to the people in the cradle and as an adult; I taught youMS the book, wisdom, the Tawrah and the Injil; you create a clay bird by my permission, then youMS breathe into it and it becomes a bird by my permission; youMS heal the one born blind and the leper by my permission; youMS bring forth the dead by my permission; I kept the people of Israel from youMS when youMS brought them miracles and the disbelievers among them said: This is just magic;
0
111
I inspired the disciples, “Believe in me and in my messenger.” They said, “We believe. Witness that we have submitted.”
0
112
When the disciples said, “Isa son of Mariam, can yourMS Lord make a table descend upon us from heaven?” He said, “Fear Allah, if youMP are believers.”
0
113
They said, “We wish to eat from it, and our hearts be calm. We know that youMS have told us the truth, and testify to that.
0
114
Isa son of Mariam said, “Allah, our Lord, send down a table from heaven, to be a feast for us, from the first of us to the last, and a sign from youMS and provide for us. YouMS are the best provider.
0
115
Allah said, “I am sending it down on youMP. I will torment any of youMP who still disbelieve more than anyone in the universe.”
0
116
*** Allah said, “Isa son of Mariam, did youMS tell the people: Take me and my mother as two gods in addition to Allah?” He said, “May youMS be glorified. I could not say what I have no right to say. If I had said that, youMS would have known. YouMS know what is in my soul, and I do not know what is in yourMS soul. YouMS know what is unseen.
0
117
*** I told them only what youMS commanded me: Worship Allah, my Lord and yourMP Lord. I was a witness over them while I remained among them, and when youMS made me die, youMS yourself watched over them. YouMS are witness over everything.
0
118
*** If youMS torment them, they are yourMS servants, and if youMS forgive them, youMS are strong and wise.”
0
119
Allah said, “This is a day when the truthfulness of the truthful benefits them. They will have heavenly gardens with flowing rivers underneath, where they will be forever. Allah is pleased with them, and they with Allah. That is the great triumph.
0
120
*** The kingdom of the heavens and the earth and everything in them is Allah's, and he can do anything.
0
