[I swear] by the wise Qur’an,

youMS are a messenger

on a straight path,

a revelation from the mighty, merciful one,

so youMS can warn people whose fathers were not warned, so they are unaware.

The saying is true for most of them, since they do not believe.

We put shackles around their necks up to their chins, and their heads are forced up.
0

We made a dam in front of them and a dam behind them, and we covered them so they do not see.
0

Whether or not youMS warn them, they will not believe.

YouMS only warn those who follow the reminder and fear the most gracious in the unseen world. Give good news to them that they will have forgiveness and a great reward.

We give life to the dead and write what they sent on beforehand and what they left behind. We counted everything in a clear book of guidance.

Tell them a proverb: There were people in a village when messengers came to it.

We sent two to them, and they rejected them. We reinforced them with a third, and they said, “We are messengers to youMP.”

They said, “YouMP are only men like us, and the most gracious has not revealed anything. YouMP are liars.”

They said, “Our Lord knows that we are messengers to youMP.
0
17
Our only responsibility is clear proclamation.”

They said, “YouMP are an evil omen to us. If youMP do not stop, we will stone youMP, and torment youMP painfully.”

They said, “YourMP evil omen is with youMP, if youMP remember. But youMP are wasteful people.”

A man came quickly from the furthest part of the city. He said, “My people, follow the messengers.

Follow those who do not ask youMP for wages, and who are guided.

I cannot but worship my creator. YouMP will be returned to him.

Should I choose gods besides him? If the most gracious wants to harm me, their intercession does not benefit me, nor can they rescue me.

I would thus have clearly gone astray.
0
25
I have believed in yourMP Lord, so hearMP me.”

He was told, “EnterMS the heavenly garden.” He said, “I wish that my people knew

that my Lord has forgiven me and honored me.”

23A1 We did not send down a host of heaven on his people after him. We would not send them down.

It was only a single cry, and then they were extinct.

Too bad for the worshippers. Every time a messenger came to them, they made fun of him.

Have they not seen how many generations before them we destroyed? They will not return to them.

32
All of them will be summoned to us.

And a sign for them is the dead ground: we revived it, and from it we brought forth grain they could eat.

34
We made palm gardens in it and vineyards, and made springs gush forth,

35
so that they could eat of its fruit, and their hands did not make it. Will not they give thanks?

36
Glory be to him who created all kinds of things the earth brings forth, of themselves, and of what they do not know.

Another sign for them is the night. With it we make the day pass away, and they are in darkness.

The sun goes down to its resting place. This is the decree of the mighty all-knowing one.

And we decreed phases for the moon, until it returned like an old, dry, date stalk.

The sun should not catch the moon, nor should the night beat the day. They all swim in their orbits.

Another sign for them is that we carried their descendants in a loaded ship.

We created others like it that they could board.
0
43
When we will, we drown them, and they will have no helper, nor will they be saved,
0

except by our mercy, to enjoy life for a while.

When they are told, “Beware of what is in front of youMP and behind youMP, so that youMP maybe shown mercy,”

whenever one of their Lord’s signs comes to them, they turn away from it.

When they are told, “Donate some of what Allah has provided youMP,” disbelievers tell believers, “Shall we feed those that Allah could have fed if he had willed? YouMP have clearly gone astray.”

They say, “When is this promise, if youMP are telling the truth?”

They only wait for one cry that will seize them while they are disputing.
0
50
They will not have a chance to make a will, and they will not return to their families.
0
51
The trumpet will be blown, and they will be brought hastily from their graves to their Lord.

They will say, “Woe is us. Who resurrected us from our beds? This is the promise of the most gracious; the messengers were right.”

With merely one cry, they were all summoned before us.

No soul will be wronged today, and youMP will be repaid only for yourMP deeds.

Those in heaven today are joyfully employed.
0

They and their wives are in shade, reclining on couches.
0
57
They have fruits there, and whatever they desire.
0
58
“Peace” is what a merciful Lord says.

Be separated today, wrongdoers!

23A2 Sons of Adam, did I not covenant with youMP? Do not worship Satan. He is a clear enemy to youMP.

Worship me. This is a straight path.

He led astray great multitudes of youMP. Did youMP not comprehend?

This is hell, as youMP were promised.

Be roasted in it today because of yourMP disbelief.

Today we will seal their mouths, and their hands will speak to us. Their feet will witness what they deserve.

If we had willed, we would have destroyed their eyes, and they would have raced toward the path. How do they see?

If we had willed, we would have fixed them at their places, and they would not have been able to leave or return.

We make the bodies of those we give a long life bend over. Do they not comprehend?

We did not teach him poetry, and it is not necessary for it. It is only a reminder and a clear recitation,

to warn the living, and fulfill the saying against the disbelievers.

Have they not seen that we created with our hands cattleF that they own for themMP?

We have subjected themF to themMP. Some of them they ride, and some they eat.

They have benefits in them and things to drink. Will they not give thanks?

They chose gods besides Allah, so that they might be saved.

They could not save them, as an army summoned.

Does not their saying grieve youMS? We know what they keep secret, and what they announce.

Has mankind not seen that we created him from a sperm drop? He is clearly an opponent.

He told us a proverb and forgot his creation. He said, “Who gives life to bones that are rotten?”

SayMS, “He who created it in the beginning gives them life. He knows every creature.”

He gives youMP fire from a green tree when youMP kindle it.

Is the creator of the heavens and the earth not able to create [people] like them? Yes. He is the all-knowing creator.

Whenever he wants something, his command is, “Be,” and it is.

May he who holds the kingdom of everything in his hand be glorified! YouMP will return to him.
