In the name of Allah, the most gracious and merciful. ALMR. Those are verses of the book. What was revealed to youMS from yourMS Lord is truth, but most people do not believe.

Allah raised up the heavens without visible pillars, then sat on the throne and made the sun and moon both go for a certain period. He directs the matter. He explains signs so that youMP may be certain of a meeting with yourMP Lord.

He stretched out the earth and made mountains and rivers in it, and pairs of every fruit. He makes the night cover the day. Those are signs for people who consider.

In the earth there are sections next to each other, vineyards, crops, and double- and single-palm trees, all irrigated by the same water, but some taste better than others. Those are signs for people who comprehend.

13A4 If youMS are amazed at all, be amazed at their saying: “When we are dust, will we be re-created?” They are disbelievers in their Lord. There will be chains around their necks. They are headed to hellfire, where they will be forever.

*** They want youMS to hasten bad deeds before good deeds. Examples of punishment have gone before them. YourMS Lord is forgiving of people’s injustice, but yourMS Lord is severe in punishment.

*** Disbelievers say, “If only his Lord had given him a signfrom heaven!” YouMS are only a warner. Every people has its own guide.

*** Allah knows what every female carries, and how long or short the wombs have left. Everything he has is measured.

*** [He] knows the unseen and the seen. He is great and exalted.

*** It is the same whether one of youMP hides a statement or says it, whether he tries to hide at night or goes out freely in the daytime;

*** he has a line of those who are in front of him and behind him, who guard him by Allah’s command. Allah does not change what is in people until they change what is in themselves. If Allah wants evil for people, nothing can hold it back. They have no protector besides him.

He shows youMP lightning that both frightens and brings hope, and makes heavy clouds.

Thunder and the angels glorify and praise him out of fear of him, and he sends thunderbolts and afflicts those he wills with them. They argue about Allah, and he is mighty in power.

The only true prayer is to him, and those they pray to besides him do not answer them at all. That is like someone stretching out his hands to water to reach his mouth, and not reaching it. Disbelievers’ prayers are straying.

Everything in heaven and earth will bow down to Allah, either willingly or unwillingly, just like their shadows morning and evening.

*** SayMS, “Who is Lord of the heavens and the earth?” SayMS, “Allah.” SayMS, “Have youMP chosen helpers beside him, who cannot benefit or harm themselves?” SayMS, “Is the blind like the sighted? Are darkness and light alike? Have they chosen partners to Allah, who created things like he did? Thus creation is alike to them.” SayMS, “Allah created everything. He is the one victor.

*** He sent rain down from the sky, and it flowed in the valleys, each according to its size. The roaring water foams with a foam like the dross when they melt ore in the fire to make jewelry or utensils. Thus Allah sets forth truth and vanity. As for the foam, it goes away, but what benefits people remains on earth. Thus Allah gives parables.

*** Those who respond to their Lord have a good reward. Even if those who do not respond to him owned everything on earth twice over and offered it as a ransom, they would have an evil reckoning. They will be in hell, a dreadful abode.

*** 13B1 Is he who knows that truth has been revealed to youMS from yourMS Lord like one who is blind? Thinkers remember.

*** They keep Allah’s covenant and do not break the treaty.

*** They join what Allah commands to be joined, fear their Lord, and are afraid of an evil reckoning.

*** They endure, seek their Lord’s face, perform the prayers, and donate from what we provide them, both secretly and openly. They drive away bad deeds with good deeds. Their reward is heaven,

*** heavenly gardens of Eden they will enter, along with the righteous among their ancestors, spouses, and descendants. Angels will enter upon them from every door,

*** “Peace to youMS for yourMS endurance.” The reward of heaven is wonderful.

Those who break Allah’s covenant after it is confirmed and sever what Allah commanded to be joined and cause destruction on the earth are damned, and are going to the worst place.

*** Allah extends provision to those he wills, and he is able. They rejoice in this world. This world is just amusement compared to the hereafter.

*** Disbelievers say, “If only a sign had been revealed to him by his Lord.” SayMS, “Allah leads astray those he wills and guides those who repent to him.”

Believers’ hearts are at rest when they remember Allah. It is only in remembering Allah that the heart can rest.

Blessed are believers who do righteous deeds. They have a good place to return.

Thus we sent youMS to a nation before which other nations had passed away so that youMS would read to them what we inspired youMS with, and they disbelieve in the most gracious. SayMS, “He is my Lord. He is the only god. I have trusted in him and repent toward him.”

*** If only there had been a recitation that moved mountains or split the earth, or spoke to the dead! The command is totally Allah’s. Do believers not despair, since if Allah had willed, he would have guided all mankind? Adversity still afflicts disbelievers for what they made, or it will afflict them soon from their houses, until Allah’s promise is fulfilled. Allah does not break promises.

*** Messengers before youMS were mocked. I gave disbelievers an opportunity, then grabbed them. What kind of punishment did I give?

*** Who stands over every soul regarding what it deserves? Yet they choose other gods in addition to Allah! SayMS, “Name them!” Or do youMP tell him what he does not know on earth? Or have a clear saying? Deceit seems pleasing to disbelievers, and they are blocked from the path. If Allah leads someone astray, no one can guide him.

*** They will have torment in this world, and the torment of the hereafter is worse. No one can protect them from Allah.

*** 13B2 The heavenly garden, which the godly are promised, which has flowing rivers underneath, and  whose food and shade are permanent, is like... That is the reward of the godly, and the punishment of disbelievers is hellfire.

*** Those we gave the book rejoice at what was revealed to youMS. Some of the factions deny some of it. SayMS, “I was commanded to serve Allah and not other gods. I pray to him, and will return to him.”

*** Thus we revealed it as an Arabic judgment. If youMS follow their desires after knowledge has come to youMS, youMS have no help or protection from Allah.

*** We have sent messengers before youMS, and we gave them spouses and descendants. No messenger brought a sign except with Allah’s permission. There is a book for every time.

Allah erases or confirms what he wills, and he has the master book.

What we show youMS is part of what we promise them, or we will make youMS die. YourMS responsibility is to proclaim, and our responsibility is to reckon.

Have they not seen that we come to the land and diminish its borders? Allah judges. There is nothing  following his sentence. He is swift to reckon.

*** Those before them were deceitful. All deceit is Allah’s. He knows what each soul deserves. Disbelievers will know who goes to heaven.

*** Disbelievers say, “YouMS are not a messenger.” SayMS, “Allah and those that know the book are adequate witnesses between me and youMP.”
