Yunus

- 10 -

1
In the name of Allah, the most gracious and merciful. ALR. Those are verses of the wise book.
0
2
Is it so amazing to people that we inspired a man among them? “Warn people and give believers good news: that they have an honest foot[ing] with their Lord.” The disbelievers said, “This one is clearly a magician.”
0
3
YourMP Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then sat down on his throne directing matters. No one can intercede except after getting his permission. That is Allah, yourMP Lord, so worship him. Do youMP not remember?
0
4
All of youMP will return to him, according to Allah’s true promise. He begins creation, and then brings it back to reward the believers who did righteous deeds in justice. Disbelievers will drink boiling water and have painful torment for their disbelief.
0
5
He made the sunshine, and the moonlight, and made its homes, so that youMP would know the number of years and their reckoning. Allah created everything in truth, and he explains his signs to people who know.
0
6
The difference between night and day and Allah's creation of the heavens and the earth are signs for godly people.
0
7
Those who do not want to meet us, who are pleased and content with this world, who ignore our signs,
0
8
are going to hellfire, as they deserve.
0
9
Believers who do righteous deeds are guided by their Lord through faith to heavenly gardens of delight where rivers flow underneath.
0
10
There they cry, “Allah, may youMS be glorified.” Their greetings there are, “Peace!” Their final cry is, “Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the universe.”
0
11
11A4 If Allah made evil hasten to people as much as they would hasten good, their lifespan would be decided. We let those who do not want to meet us wander alone in their wickedness.
0
12
If harm touches a person, he prays to us lying on his side, sitting or standing, and when we take away the harm, he passes by as if he never called on us about the harm that touched him. Thus the works of the wasteful seem pleasing to them.
0
13
We have destroyed generations before youMP for their wickedness. Their messengers came to them with miracles and they would not believe. Thus we repay wrongdoers.
0
14
After them, we made youMP regents on the earth, so we could see how youMP work.
0
15
And when our signs are read as miracles, those who do not want to meet us say, “Bring a different recitation, or exchange it.” SayMS, “I cannot replace it by myself. I only follow what is inspired to me. I would fear the torment of a great day if I disobeyed my Lord.”
0
16
SayMS, “If Allah had willed, I would not have read it to youMP or told youMP of it. I remained with youMP a lifetime before it. Do youMP not comprehend?
0
17
Who is more wicked than one who lies about Allah or rejects our signs? Wrongdoers do not prosper.
0
18
They worship other gods beside Allah, who cannot harm them or help them, and they say, “These are our intercessors with Allah.” SayMS, “Do youMP tell Allah what he does not know in the heavens or the earth? May he be glorified and exalted above the gods they worship.
0
19
People were only one nation, and then they differed. If not for a word that went forth beforehand from yourMS Lord, it would have been decided among them regarding their differences.
0
20
They say, “If only a sign were revealed to him from his Lord.” SayMS, “The unseen belongs to Allah, so wait. I will be waiting, too.
0
21
If we give people a taste of mercy after harm touches them, they plot against our signs. SayMS, “Allah is faster in plotting.” Our messengers write down yourMP plots.
0
22
He makes youMP go on land and sea, even when youMP were in the ark. TheyFP drove them along with a pleasant wind, and theyMP rejoiced in it. Then a strong wind came and waves from every direction, and they thought they were surrounded, so they prayed to Allah, sincere in religion, “If youMS rescue us from this, we will give thanks.
0
23
When he rescued them, they acted wrongfully and untruthfully on the land. People, youMP wrong yourselvesMP in the things of this life, and then youMP will return to us, and we will tell youMP yourMP deeds.
0
24
This world is like rain we sent down from the sky, which was mixed with the plants of the ground eaten by people and cattle, and when the earth is adorned and decorated, people on the earth imagine they can control it. Our command came to it by night or day, and we harvested it, as if it had not been enriched yesterday. Thus we explain our signs to people who consider.
0
25
Allah calls [people] to the house of peace and guides whom he wills to a straight path.
0
26
11B1 Those who do good deeds will have a good reward and more. No blackness or humiliation will be on their faces. They will go to heaven and be there forever.
0
27
Those who do bad deeds will be repaid with bad deeds like them. Their faces will be humiliated. They have no defender from Allah. It is as if their faces were covered with pieces of darkness from the night. They will go to hellfire and be there forever.
0
28
On the day we gather them all, we will say to the idolaters, “YouMP and yourMP partner gods, yourMP place.” We separated them. Their partners said, “YouMP did not worship us.”
0
29
Allah is an adequate witness between us and youMP; we were unaware of yourMP worship.
0
30
There every soul will be tested because of its former deeds. They will be brought back to Allah, their true Lord, and what they lied about will go astray from them.
0
31
SayMS, “Who provides for youMP out of the sky and the earth? Who owns hearing and sight? Who brings forth the living from the dead, and the dead from the living? Who manages things?” They will say, “Allah.” SayMS, “Do youMP not fear god?”
0
32
That is Allah, yourMP true Lord. Beyond truth is only straying. How can youMP have been turned away?
0
33
Thus the word of yourMS Lord was fulfilled on the unbelievers, since they do not believe.
0
34
SayMS, “Do any of yourMP partner gods begin creation and then restore it?” SayMS, “Allah begins creation and restores it. How youMP lie!”
0
35
SayMS, “Do any of yourMP partner gods guide toward the truth?” SayMS, “Allah guides toward the truth. Is he who guides toward the truth more worthy of being followed or one who cannot guide until he has been guided? What is wrong with youMP? How do youMP judge?”
0
36
Most of them follow only suppositions. Suppositions give no truth. Allah knows what they do.
0
37
This recitation could not have been invented without Allah, but [it is] a confirmation of what is before it and an explanation of the book of which there is no doubt, from the Lord of the universe.
0
38
Or do they say, “He invented it.”? SayMS, “Bring a chapter like it, and pray to whoever youMP can besides Allah, if youMP are telling the truth.”
0
39
But they reject that of which they are ignorant, even when it is explained to them. Those before them likewise rejected. See the punishment of such wicked people!
0
40
Some of them believe in it and some do not. YourMS Lord knows best who are corrupt.
0
41
If they reject youMS, say, “I have my works, and youMP have yoursMP. YouMP are innocent of what I do, and I am innocent of yourMP deeds.
0
42
Some of them listen to youMS. Can youMS make the deaf hear, even when they do not comprehend?
0
43
Some of them look at youMS. Can youMS guide the blind, even when they do not see?
0
44
Allah does not wrong people at all, but they wrong themselves.
0
45
On the day they are gathered, it will be as if they remained only an hour of the day, getting to know each other. Those who rejected a meeting with Allah are lost. They were not guided.
0
46
Either we will show youMS some of what we promise them, or we will make youMS die. They will return to us, and then Allah will witness what they do.
0
47
Every nation has a messenger. When their messenger comes, it will be justly decided among them. They will not be wronged.
0
48
They will say, “When will this promise happen, if youMP are telling the truth?”
0
49
SayMS, “I cannot harm or help myself, except as Allah wills. Every nation has a lifespan. When its time comes, they cannot postpone it or advance it, even by an hour.
0
50
SayMS, “What do youMP think? If his torment comes to youMP, by night or by day, what will wrongdoers do to hasten it?
0
51
Then when it happens, youMP believe in it now, while youMP used to hasten it.
0
52
Then the wicked were told, “TasteMP eternal torment. Do youMP not deserve yourMP punishment?
0
53
11B2 They ask youMS to tell them, “Is it true?” SayMS, “By my Lord, yes, it is true. YouMP cannot stop it.”
0
54
Even if every wicked soul owned everything on earth, and they offered it as ransom, they would secretly regret it when they see the torment. When they are judged, they will not be wronged.
0
55
Is everything in the heavens and the earth not Allah's? Is Allah’s promise not true? Most of them do not know.
0
56
He revives and causes death. To him youMP will be returned.
0
57
People, yourMP Lord has sent youMP an admonition, healing for what is in the heart, guidance and mercy to believers.
0
58
SayMS, “By Allah’s grace and mercy.” Let them rejoice at that. He is better than what they gather up.
0
59
SayMS, “What do youMP think? YouMP have prohibited or allowed what Allah sent down to youMP as provision.” SayMS, “Did Allah give youMP permission, or are youMP lying about Allah?”
0
60
On the day of resurrection, what will those who lie about Allah think? That Allah will show grace to people? Most of them do not give thanks.
0
61
Whenever youMS do something or readMSof it from a recitation, or youMP do a work, we are witnesses, for youMP are immersed in it. Not a speck on the earth or in the sky escapes yourMS Lord, nor anything smaller or larger. It is all in a clear book.
0
62
Allah’s helpers will not fear or grieve,
0
63
for they believe and are godly.
0
64
They have good news in this world and in the hereafter, and there is no substituting Allah’s words. That is the great victory.
0
65
Do not beMS sad at their saying. Allah has all power. He hears all and knows all.
0
66
Everyone in the heavens and the earth is Allah's. Those who pray to other gods beside Allah follow only suppositions. They merely guess.
0
67
He makes night for youMP so that youMP can be silent in it, and daytime for seeingMS. Those are signs for people who hear.
0
68
They said, “Allah has chosen a boy.” May he be glorified! He is self-sufficient, and everything in the heavens and the earth is his. Even if youMP have authority in this matter, do youMP say about Allah things youMP do not know about?”
0
69
SayMS, “Those who tell lies about Allah do not prosper.
0
70
They may have enjoyment in the world, but they will return to us, and then we will make them taste harsh torment for their disbelief."
0
71
11B3 Read to them the story of Nuh, when he told his people, “My people, if it is a big issue to youMP that I stand reminding [you] of Allah’s signs, I trust in Allah. Gather yourMP matters and yourMP partner gods, and do not let yourMP matter bother youMP. Then judgeMP me without delay.
0
72
If youMP turn away, I have not asked youMP for pay. My pay comes only from Allah. I was commanded to submit.”
0
73
They rejected him and we rescued him and those with him in the ark, and we made them regents and we drowned those who rejected our signs. See what was the punishment of those who were warned?
0
74
After him, we sent messengers to their people, and they brought them miracles, but they would not believe what they had disbelieved in beforehand. We seal transgressors’ hearts.
0
75
After them, we sent Musa and Harun with our signs to Pharaoh and his people, but they were proud, wrongdoing people.
0
76
When the truth came to them from us, they said, “This is clear magic.”
0
77
Musa said, “Do youMP say of the truth that comes to youMP: Is this magic?” Magicians never prosper.
0
78
They said, “Have youMS come to turn us away from what we found our fathers doing, to make yourselvesD proud in the earth? We do not believe youD.”
0
79
Pharaoh said, “Bring me every knowledgeable magician.
0
80
When the magicians came, Musa told them, “Throw down what youMP throw.”
0
81
When they threw, Musa said, “Allah will nullify the magic youMP have brought. Allah does not make the work of the corrupt good.”
0
82
Allah fulfills the truth with his words, even though wrongdoers hate it.
0
83
Only the seed of his people believed in Musa through fear of Pharaoh and his nobles, lest they be tempted, since Pharaoh was great in the land, and he was wasteful.
0
84
Musa said, “My people, if youMP believe in Allah, trust in him, if youMP have submitted.
0
85
They said, “We have trusted in Allah. Our Lord, do not make us a temptation to wicked people.
0
86
Rescue us by yourMS mercy from disbelieving people.
0
87
We inspired Musa and his brother, “PrepareD houses for yourD people in Egypt. LetMP yourMP houses be the prayer direction, performMP prayers, and giveMS good news to the believers.”
0
88
Musa said, “Our Lord, youMS gave Pharaoh and his people decoration and money in this life. Our Lord, let them be led astray from yourMS path. Lord, blowMS upon their money, and tightenMS their hearts so that they will not believe until they see painful torment."
0
89
He said, “YourD prayer has been answered, so beD upright and do not walkD on the path of those who do not know.
0
90
11B4 We made the children of Israel cross the sea, and Pharaoh and his armies followed him in injustice and enmity until he was drowned. He said, “I believe that the only god is the one the people of Israel believe in, and I have submitted.”
0
91
Now? YouMS have disobeyed beforehand and wereMS corrupt.
0
92
Today we will rescue you in yourMS body so that youMS will beMS a sign to those who come after youMS. Many people are unaware of our signs.
0
93
We prepared a true dwelling for the people of Israel and provided good things for them, and they did not differ until knowledge came to them. Their Lord will judge among them on the day of resurrection about their differences.
0
94
So when youMS are in doubt about what we have revealed to youMS, askMS those who are reading the book that was before youMS. Truth has come to youMS from yourMS Lord, so do not beMS a doubter,
0
95
nor beMS one who denies Allah’s signs, for then youMS will be lost.
0
96
Those upon whom yourMS Lord’s word was fulfilled will not believe,
0
97
even if every sign were to come to them, until they see painful torment.
0
98
No village believed and benefited from their faith except Yunus’s people. When they believed, we saved them from shameful torment in this life and let them enjoy it for a time.
0
99
If yourMS Lord had willed, everyone on earth would have believed – all of them. So are youMS trying to force people to become believers?
0
100
No soul can believe without Allah’s permission. He makes an abomination for those who do not comprehend.
0
101
SayMS, “Look at what is in heaven and on earth.” Signs and warnings do not benefit people who do not believe.
0
102
Aren't they only waiting for days like the ones of those who passed away before them. SayMS, “Wait. I will wait with youMP.”
0
103
Then we rescue our messengers and believers. Thus we are obligated to rescue believers.
0
104
SayMS, “People, if youMP are in doubt about my religion, I do not worship the gods youMP worship besides Allah, but I worship Allah, who will make youMP die. I have been commanded to be a believer:
0
105
“Turn yourMS face to monotheistic religion, do not worshipMS other gods,
0
106
do not prayMS to gods besides Allah, which do not benefit youMS or harm youMS. If youMS do, youMS will be wicked.
0
107
If Allah touches  youMS with harm, there is no one except him that can take it away. If he wants good for youMS, there is no one that can take his grace away. He gives it to those of his servants that he wills. He is forgiving and merciful.
0
108
SayMS, “People, truth from yourMP Lord has come to youMP. Whoever is guided is guided for his soul's benefit, and whoever goes astray, goes astray to his soul's detriment. I am not responsible for youMP.
0
109
FollowMS what is revealed to youMS and endureMS until Allah judges. He is the best judge.
0
